Oogachaga or popularly known as OC, is a committed, non-profit organisation that provides life-affirming support to LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning) individuals in Singapore. It aims to realise its mission of helping LGBTQ persons lead a fulfilling life.
Since its founding days in 1999, OC has grown to provide 4 main services for the community. Here is a quick glance at what is available at OC, and what might be right for you :
Face to Face Counselling
OC provides affordable and professional counselling services. All volunteer counsellors have a minimal qualificaion of Master in Counselling or Bachelor in Social Work and are supervised by Mrs Juliana Toh, a psychotherapist with over 20 years of counselling experience.
Community Forums and Workshops
Over 20 seminars, forums and workshops have been conducted over the years, to facilitate vigorous and meaningful discourse within and outside of the community.
Join one of OC's regular discussion forums and workshops, and share valuable resources with members of the LGBTQ community.
Hotline and Email Counselling Services
More than 500 clients utilize the hotline and email counselling service every year. These services are manned by a team of specially trained volunteers, who will ensure the confidentiality in our services. Call or email OC if you need to talk on secual health and relationship matters.
Support Groups
OC stands out from other counselling services for their personal development and support group programmes. Since 1999, over 20 runs of support groups for 250 men and women have been conducted, eaerning rave reviews from members.
